Our story

We wanted teachers to stop paying for their own classrooms.

Tipsy Teacher is a Maryland wine company built by a teacher and a kid whose teachers once covered his school supply list.

Kenny Feldman, Founder

Grew up just south of Baltimore in a family that couldn't afford everything on the supply list. His teachers bought what was missing. A Marine Corps veteran, he learned years later that his teacher friends were still paying for their own classrooms. He runs the company from Berlin, Maryland, with his wife and daughter.

Britt, Cofounder and Pre K Teacher

Teaches Pre K in Owings Mills, Maryland, and still teaches every day. The conversation that started Tipsy Teacher was with her: she was paying for classroom supplies out of pocket, and Kenny had been the kid on the other side of that.

The program

How every bottle funds a classroom.

One at a time

One teacher is featured

A Maryland teacher applies and sets a classroom goal: book bins, headphones, markers, the things they would otherwise buy themselves.

Every bottle

$1 goes to that goal

Wine orders, gift sets and club boxes all count. We stay with her until her goal is fully funded, then the next teacher starts the following month. No teacher gets dropped halfway.

After

You get the report card

Online orders arrive with an impact report card naming the teacher your purchase supported and what they bought.
